If you’ve ever felt like the scrolling direction on your mouse or touchpad in Windows 11 feels weird, you’re not the only one.
The default setting to move your page up is to scroll up on the mouse wheel (or swipe down on the trackpad). But this feels unnatural to some people.
Good News: You Can Change It!
Did you know that Windows 11 gives you the option to reverse the direction of scrolling, so it feels more natural for you? Like the way scrolling down on your phone or tablet moves the page down.
How to Adjust the Scrolling Direction
With the latest Windows 11 update (24H2), Microsoft has made it easier to make this change directly through Settings. Just head to Bluetooth & Devices, go to the Mouse or Touchpad page, and adjust the scrolling direction to what feels right for you.
If you’re using an older version of Windows 11, you might need to dive into the system registry to make this change – and I wouldn’t recommend doing that. Instead, just install the update so you can change things like this in a couple of clicks.
A Simple Tweak for a Better Experience
It’s a simple thing to tweak, but it could really improve how you and your team use your Windows devices.
